Thematic short films

WCL Documentary and Fiction ENPRO

"A picture speaks more than thousand words..." This statement is true also for documentary films. In fact, in the last decades the use of especially prepared short fiction scenes in documentaries has spread more and more. A new genre was born, the docu-fiction.

In our production we adopted some of these techniques for our own documentaries, in order to amplify certain aspects or moods of the story. Thus we were able to gather experience on the field and you can explore some examples of it throughout the different sections of our website.

The precise planning and preparation of fiction scenes is imperative, since the cost of production is very much higher than for classic documentary films. Thus it needs a lot of experience in order to balance the work in a way that preserves the budged of the planned production.

We were able to make our experiences in this field and we would like to share them with you. If you are interested in producing fiction scenes for your own production, we would be glad if we can be of any assistance.

Some main aspects in this field are:

  • Planning of Shootings (including shooting permissions for locations)
