Topic: The protagonist tells in first person his story, from leader of a secret anti-Soviet group of revolutionary communism to the concentration camp, where he lost his eye-sight but discovered the value of life with new eyes, those of faith. He became an extraordinary preacher and an educator for catechists, without any compromise and collaboration with the KGB.
Plot: Oleg Senin is first introduced in his function as catechist and preacher. The film then continues with the interview about his life and experiences. He tells about his teenage years and the communist convictions he defended with ideas of a new revolution and how he foundet a neomarxist movement called "Group of revolutionary communsim" together with his friends. The film enters here in sequences of black and white fiction scenes in order to underline the story. The story continues about the arrest and condemnation of Senin to a forced labour camp and his experiences there. Through a strong distrophy he lost his eyesight during this imprisonment, but through this experiences he also found a new vision, the vision of faith. After his return from the camp Senin tried to apply for the priestly ordination, but since he was not willing to cooperate with the KGB he was not allowed to receive orders. So he decided to work as catechist and preacher.
Artistic Considerations: Oleg Senin is himself the author of the script for this movie, which is enriched by several songs and poems from his own hand. The flashback character of the black and white fiction scenes together with original historic shootings give the film a very realistic aspect that helps the spectator to understand also emotionally the problematic of the protagonist.
